Estimated US Population: Unknown. More than half the world’s rabbit population resides in the US. Based on a 2010 survey, over 6.5 Million rabbits were kept as pets.

Short Description: Four-legged, herbivore, rodent-like burrowing mammals of the family Leporidae. Mostly kept as pets or are wild.
